Dallas-based studio celebrates 21 years of original illustration, traditional letterpress printing, and thoughtfully made gifts.
DALLAS, TEXAS — Color Box Design & Letterpress is bringing its colorful collection of American-made paper goods and gifts to NY NOW, introducing fresh designs in its popular Fun & Fancy Safety Matches collection and a new assortment of whimsical letterpress greeting cards.
Founded in 2005, Color Box is a small but mighty design and printing studio tucked away in Dallas, Texas. For more than two decades, the team has combined original illustration, traditional printing techniques, and a genuine love of paper to create gifts that celebrate life's big moments, little moments, and everything in between.
Founder and illustrator Rhonda Warren creates each illustration specifically for the letterpress medium, thoughtfully designing artwork to make the most of this centuries-old printing technique. By overlapping inks and using carefully placed screens, the studio creates unexpected colors, shades, and depth from just a few ink colors. Each sheet is hand-fed through antique printing presses, giving the finished pieces the beautiful impression and tactile quality that make letterpress so special.
Proudly Made in America
Color Box designs and prints its products in Dallas, Texas. From the first sketch to making printing plates, mixing inks, running the presses, and finishing each piece, nearly every step happens under one roof. The studio also uses paper with recycled cotton fiber for its letterpress products.
"We love being involved in the entire process, from the first little sketch to the finished product," says Warren. "There's something special about making things with your own hands. We're proud to keep our production here in America and to create things that make people smile and feel a little more connected."
What's New at NY NOW
Visitors will discover new Fun & Fancy Safety Match designs and a fresh collection of letterpress greeting cards, alongside Color Box favorites including reusable Charcuterie Cheat Sheets, Luxe Watercolor Kits, stationery, bookmarks, and the collectible Totally Texan Letterpress Calendar, celebrating its 10th edition in 2027.
